As Preslav Literary School, Adam Thomas makes live tape collages using sounds drawn from an ever-growing archive of self-generated or discovered outsider noise, found sound and spoken word cassettes. A process of transference, overdubbing and live manipulation reworks these source materials into compelling, ambient broadcasts. Adam has released three albums, numerous live CDrs, and played at venues and festivals throughout Europe alongside Machinefabriek, Leif Elggren, Sudden Infant, Jazzfinger, Antoine Chessex, Matt Elliott, Shitty Listener & many others.
Previously Assistant Guest Curator for transmediale.10 (DE), Programme Manager for AV Festival 08 and Festival Co-ordinator for Dott 07, he is now working for a Prague-based NGO focusing on free software for quality journalism, with an emphasis on countries with a history of media oppression.
